Gold steadily rose in Asia and London and jumped to as high as $1118.00 in early New York trade before it fell back off into the close, but it still ended with a gain of 0.86%. Silver climbed to as high as $17.615 by about 11AM EST before it also fell back off a bit in late trade, but it still ended with a gain of 1.21%. Full Story
THE PRICE OF GOLD & SILVER bullion rose against a weakening US Dollar in London on Wednesday, ticking higher as Asian shares ended the day lower and European stock markets held flat. Gold saw a gain of $3.09 at $1113.39 in Asia before it fell back off in London and morning New York trade to as low as $1101.78 by about 11:30AM EST, but it then bounced back higher in the last couple of hours of trade and ended with a loss of just 0.53%. Silver climbed to $17.46 in Asia and dropped to as low as $17.202 by late morning in New York before it also rallied back higher in afternoon trade, but it still ended with a loss of 0.46%. Gold rose roughly 0.5% in late Asian trade and held above $1110 in London before it popped to a new session high of $1114.30 shortly after 8AM EST and then fell back off in early New York trade to as low as $1106.91 by a little after 10AM EST, but it then rallied to a new session high of $1114.55 by late morning and ended with a gain of 0.53%.
