Gold fell back off about 0.5% in Asia, but it then rallied back higher in London and climbed to as high as $834.60 with a gain of $25.90 by about 8:15AM EST before it pared those gains slightly for the rest of trade in New York and ended with a gain of 2.23%. Gold rose roughly 1% to about $780 in Asia and added another $10 in London before it accelerated its gains in New York and ended near its session high of $814.15 with a gain of 4.56%. Gold traded mostly slight higher in Asia and London and fell as much as $7.20 to $762.25 by late morning in New York before it and rallied to as high as $780.30 in early afternoon trade and then fell back off a bit into the close, but it still ended with a gain of 0.52%. Silver fell to as low as $9.637 by late morning in New York before it also rallied back higher in late trade, but it still ended with a loss of 1.3%. Full Story

Gold rose to see a gain of $30.20 or 3.99% at $782.25 by about 9AM EST in New York before it fell back off into the close, but it still ended with a gain of 2.31%. Silver climbed to as high as $10.37 by late morning in New York to see a gain of $0.975 or 10.38% before it also fell back off in the last couple of hours of trade, but it still ended with a gain of 6.12%. Expectation of further rate cuts, along with heightened anticipation of debt monetization here in the US has the dollar looking rather toppy. Today's retreat below 86.00 in the dollar index suggests potential for further retracement back toward 84.00. Full Story
